MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Sarah began learning ASL while attending community college, when an Instructor encouraged her to pursue interpreting as a career. She graduated from Saddleback College's Interpreter Training Program (ITP), earned a BA in Anthropology from Cal State University, Northridge (CSUN), and an MA in Anthropology (focus in Linguistics) from Cal State, Long Beach.
With over 24 years experience, Sarah has worked as a VRS interpreter, freelance interpreter, educational interpreter, and as an ASL teacher. Currently, she is a nationally certified Interpreter for the Deaf (RID) working in the classroom.
Sarah was raised and educated in southern California, where she met her future husband as a freshman in high school. They married in 2006.
